Why people choose the Amazon marketplace to sell products online?

A lot of online sellers tend to choose Amazon as their main marketplace to sell — and why wouldn’t they since Amazon is a huge marketplace with lots of profits potential.

The German market and consumer data company, Statista revealed that just back in 2020, Amazon was the leading e-Commerce marketplace in strong markets such as Germany, Japan, the UK, the rest of the world, and the USA, closing in with a net sales of almost 386 billion USD

The graph shown below demonstrates how Amazon’s net sales have been increasing in the US from 2014 all the way to 2020. It went from 54.72 billion USD back in 2014 to 263.52 billion USD in 2020. While the rest of the world had a net amount of 6.1 billion USD in sales back in 2014 and it grew all the way to 46.04 billion USD.

All of these numbers sound great — don’t they? However, just like any other huge marketplace, a lot of sellers fear they might lose their accounts harming their businesses.

Why Amazon can suspend a seller account?

Let me give you just a couple of general reasons why Amazon might suspend an account:

  • Delays in delivery and wrong deliveries.
  • Problems related to product quality.
  • Lack of the required product certification.
  • Bad and fake buyer reviews.
  • Selling/ displaying restricted products.

— And the list goes on! Not to mention the fact that Amazon never fully discloses a specific reason of why they suspend an account. They simply give you general reasons.

This leads me to the main topic of this article — Amazon stealth accounts.

First of all, let me clear something up, Amazon stealth account is not really a stealth account — don’t worry, continue reading that it’ll surely make sense.

What is an Amazon Stealth Account?

Stealth Amazon accounts are simply regular Amazon seller accounts with the difference that the information used on the new account is completely different from the original account.

So, an Amazon stealth account is created by a seller who already owns an Amazon account. It is made in a way that the new account won’t lead any trace whatsoever to the original account. That means this seller uses completely different data for both Amazon accounts. Including different addresses, names, payment cards, phone numbers, and even such things as IP addresses, browsers, and cookies.

Nonetheless, Amazon can be really smart when detecting stealth accounts in which they will undoubtedly block immediately. That is why you need to consider a couple of tricks when creating Amazon stealth accounts. Read further to learn how to properly create these types of accounts.

Why do you exactly need an Amazon Stealth Account?

The most obvious reason for having an Amazon Stealth Account is getting back to business after a suspension of your seller account. You can even look at stealth accounts as back-ups in case your account gets flagged —  bottom line, don’t place all of your eggs in one basket.

Another reason that sellers tend to make Amazon stealth accounts is that they intend to manage more than one account in order to mix up their listings, offer different products for different niches or simply to make more sales.

Don’t wait for the profits, make them.

Creating an Amazon seller stealth account:

The key to creating stealth accounts is making Amazon’s multiple account detection system inefficient — that is done by creating a completely unique account.

So the question is, how do you actually do it?

First off, it is important to note that what Amazon tracks from their users is every seller’s personal & payment information, the device IP address, MAC address, cookies, and Flash objects.

So, let’s start with the steps you need to take in order to do this correctly:

Swapping your network adapter:

Surprisingly enough, Amazon has a system to detect your MAC address. That is a unique identifier to a network interface — in other words, this is the physical address that identifies each device such as a laptop on a given network such as Google, for example.

You can simply swap your network adapter where you first disable your current network adapter from the device manager following these small steps:

  1. Open Start on your laptop.
  2. Search for Device Manager, and click the top result.
  3. Expand the Network adapters category.
  4. Right-click the adapter you want, and select the Disable device option.

After doing so, purchase a USB network adapter from any local computer & electronics store nearby your home — you can also buy it from Amazon!

Since you have disabled the default network adapter, the plugged network adapter’s MAC address will override your network adapter.

Change your IP address:

IP addresses are easily tracked by websites to identify their users. The IP address is a numerical value assigned to a computer on a network. This would be very different from the MAC address I previously explained.

The IP address is assigned to the specific device instead of being burned into the network adapted by its manufacturer such as the case of the MAC address.

That is why make sure to use of proxies servers that’ll allow you to have multiple IP addresses and avoid Amazon from detecting your identity when you create an Amazon stealth account.

The most known services would be ExpressVPN, NordVPN, or GoLogin, etc. Make sure the proxies you buy have support for your location.

Clear up your cookies & Flash objects:

Amazon will certainly track your cookies from a browser environment. First, let me explain that cookies are tiny bits of stored-up files on your browser history.

Flash objects, on the other hand, are just like cookies, but they store more data — and are not easy to delete.

So, the way you get rid of these stored-up data files is by clearing cookies using the known CCleaner software which is simple to use. To clear your Flash objects, you can use the Adobe Flash Player Settings Manager

Create a new persona with new information:

  • Full name: Make sure you create a completely new name aside from yours. It´s recommended using a friend’s name or even a family member’s name. You could even register a DBA/LLC name which are normally used to operate small businesses legally.
  • Billing address: Make sure that the address you place is both accessible for you and also in the same location as the IP address you previously chose. You can again use a friend’s or family member’s address or even rent a P.O. Box.
  • email address: You can create a new email address with Gmail. It’s advised using Gmail because it disables the Web Beacons from Amazon sent emails that’ll definitely help them track your real IP address.

To disable the Web Beacon on Gmail follow these steps:

  • Click on the gear icon that appears in the upper right corner of your screen. Followed by that, click on “See all settings”.
  • Then, scroll down to where it says “images” and select the “Ask before displaying external images” option.
  • Finally, simply scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and click on “Save changes”.
  • Phone number: You will also need a mobile phone to verify your account. Amazon makes use of a call automation service for verification. That is why it would be wise to forward the call directly. Furthermore, you can rent a US phone number for this reason. You can check out the Tollfreeforwarding website.

How to protect your stealth Amazon seller account from being suspended?

So, now that you’ve successfully learned how to make an Amazon stealth account, the next big step is to protect it from being suspended.

Okay, first of all, you need to know that securing an Amazon account won’t necessarily guarantee that you will be in business forever.

The team at Amazon is constantly developing ways of detecting multiple accounts —  so try to protect your stealth account!

If you are managing multiple accounts, it is important to note that you need to stay organized. Have a spreadsheet with all the data associated with each of your accounts. Keep records of names, email addresses, telephone numbers, MAC addresses, network adapters, IP addresses, etc.

Lastly, it is never more to say that you need to always comply with Amazon policies. Avoid listing prohibited items, provide good overall customer service to your buyers and deliver on your business policies.

Final Lines

Always be on top of your Amazon accounts. Start with your original account and create one or two Amazon stealth accounts to avoid oversaturating yourself. However, remember that there is always a risk. Since it violates Amazon policies. One wrong action – and forget about selling on Amazon at all.

Furthermore, understand that even if you decide to create an Amazon stealth account yourself, you will need to invest a little bit of money in obtaining proxies servers that’ll help you maintain your real IP hidden.

Lastly, another useful tip is to keep your PC protected at all times so that no other seller logs into their account unknowingly.

That being said, avoid cyber cafes and other PCs that are open for use by anyone.
